Skyrim gets Mod support for consoles +moreBetheda announced on their blog yesterday (October 3rd, 2016) that custom user mods WILL infact find its way to consoles on October 28th, 2016.

However, they made sure to mention the following:

You will not be able to upload external assets with your PlayStation 4 mods, but you will be able to use any assets that come with the game, as most mods do.




You will be asked to create a Bethesda account, which will give you access to the available mods.

We are unsure if the mods will also still be limited by the previous 2GB stipulation from Sony. We have yet to hear any word on this. Also, probably just as big news, the PS4 Pro will be powerful to spit out skyrim in Native 4k resolution!

That is amazing if true. The last we've heard was that the ps4 pro will upscale 1080p to 4k on-the-fly at best.

We have yet to see if this is confirmed, however, Bethesda did include a few screenshots on their blog as well. See below:
